Crowdfunding a dream

Your curiosity and patience will soon be satisfied - we can proudly announce that our crowdfunding campaign and product announcement on Kickstarter will begin Monday the 31st of July at 9AM (European Central Summer Time) (5PM in Sydney; 3PM in Taipei and Beijing; 3AM in New York and 12AM in Los Angeles) and will last for only 35 days! We aim to reach a CHF 30’000.00 funding goal.

Therefore we would appreciate your help in spreading the word! Please share this blog post using the social media icons above - Thank you!

Why we chose Kickstarter

We want to see our project come to life. But obviously funds are needed to create a product and we want to be able to have the capital to deliver our component, while keeping 100% ownership of our brand.

Our company focuses on technology and innovation and Kickstarter seamed like the perfect platform to achieve our goals, outside of traditional methods.

We want to get feedback from our backers and from the market before entering production phase in order to make adjustments or upgrades and respond to the needs of our future customers.

Furthermore, Kickstarter is a proven trustworthy and successful platform, which in 2015 became a “Benefit Corporation”. What this means is that they are a for-profit company that is obligated to consider the impact of its decisions on society and not only shareholders. Positive impact on society becomes therefore part of a Benefit Corporation’s legally defined goals.

...But what is Kickstarter?

Kickstarter is a crowdfunding platform based in New York City, which helps designers and creators find the resources and support they need to turn their ideas into reality.

The platform is entirely driven by crowdfunding, meaning that the general public make it possible to send these projects into production.

Since their launch, on April 28th 2009, 13 million people have backed a Kickstarter project, 3.2 billion dollars have been pledged and 128’184 projects have been successfully funded.

Thousands of creative projects are being funded on Kickstarter at any given moment. Each project is independently created and crafted by the person behind it and every project creator sets his project’s funding goal and deadline. If people like the project, they can pledge money to make it happen. Kickstarter has an all-or-nothing funding policy, which means that if the project  doesn’t succeed in reaching its goal, it doesn’t receive any funding at all.

By funding the project, backers do not get ownership or equity, the creator keeps 100% ownership of their work.

Pledging money to a project is easy. All you have to do is click the green “BACK THIS PROJECT” button on the project page of your choice. Funders are then asked to select an amount and a reward.
Whatever the outcome, Kickstarter sends all backers an email right after the project end date.

Why do people back projects?

A lot of people rally around their friends’ projects, some are supporting people they admire, many are inspired by a new idea, while others are attracted by a project’s reward.

Backing a project is more that just giving someone money or buying a new product. It’s supporting their dream to create something that they want to see exist in the world.

By supporting us you support the idea of products adjusting to the athletes’ needs, not cyclists having to adjust to the products they’re given.
Our supporters want to redefine the cycling industry and the bike fitting processes, they want to be comfortable on their bikes and want an easy way to achieve this goal. Our backers think outside of the box and always want the newest technological advancement on their bike.

About our Kickstarter Campaign

We have spent months building our project pages, shooting videos and brainstorming what rewards to offer backers.

Until Monday September 4th at 9AM (ECST) you will have time to pledge any desired amount to our project and give us feedback to or ask questions about the campaign and the product itself.
You will have access to premium content, limited rewards and be one of the first people to own our product!
Remember, the Kickstarter all-or-nothing policy and keep in mind, that if we do not reach our CHF 30’000 funding goal within our deadline, the product will not go into production and no rewards will be delivered.

All of that being said, all you have to do now is click on the “BACK THIS PROJECT” button on our Kickstarter product page from Monday the 31st of July, to help us achieve our dream and deliver to you this revolutionary cycling component.

Thank you!
